Business@Brooklands - THE WORD IS OUT ON THE PARK!

10 May 2011

At last the Brooklands business park has its own business community magazine, designed to help all organisations within the park communicate to each other their latest news, forthcoming events, or any other noteworthy information.

The magazine was launched in true Brooklands style at the prestigious Brooklands Hotel on Friday February 25th with a fanfare of classic cars and chequered flags, preceded by a welcome speech from the local MP, Rt. Hon. Philip Hammond, Secretary of State for Transport. He was supported by Cllr. Barry Cheyne, Mayor of Elmbridge and PR guru Max Clifford. With over 120 businesses in attendance, the event highlighted the close associations already built among the companies on the Park and was a foretaste of the increased business opportunities still to be won. Advertising space for the launch edition was sold out within one hour of the website going live in December, but further opportunities to secure space are available for the second edition after Easter.

The founder of the magazine, Karen Sutton of Limelight Marketing, within the Brooklands complex said, “If anyone was going to launch a magazine like this, it had to be someone with local knowledge and local contacts. The responses received from businesses was the driving force in making it happen.” Rt. Hon. Philip Hammond MP added, “This is a brilliant step forward for the business community in Brooklands and long, long overdue.”
