Charity Work

Offering as much support to charities as possible is extremely important to us and we try to help and support a variety of charities locally, nationally and internationally ... from Hospices to Heritage!

Rotary International

Karen has been a member of Rotary International (Shepperton Aurora) since January 2009 and is currently the second youngest member in her district. Using the variety of skills within the company Limelight is able to support the club by saving them money on design and photography requirements, thus enabling more to be given to the charity in which it is supporting.
Karen recently embarked on a trip to India, assisting in the project to eradicate polio in the slums of New Delhi. She raised nearly £3000 and gained a lot of local media coverage in the local papers and on radio.

Surrey Air Ambulance

In 2009, Karen took part in a group event to climb Snowdon for Surrey Air Ambulance completing the 3,560ft in just under 2 hours and raising over £1000 for the cause.

Surrey Air Ambulance receive no government funding yet need to raise £750,000 every year to stay in the air 365 days a year (weather permitting). A Real Life Story on their website really helps you to understand EXACTLY how important it is to keep these guys flying.

Surrey Air Ambulance remains one of Limelight Marketing’s supported charities.

Sam Beare Hospice

Sam Beare Hospice

Limelight sponsored the design and print for the 2011 Sam Beare Hospice Ball was that was supported by Mercedes-Benz World and has also introduced clients to the hospice with their recently launched corporate sponsorship packages.

Sam Beare Hospice in Weybridge is not just a building, it is a way of caring for people. Hospice care aims to improve the lives of people whose illness may not be curable. It helps people to live as actively as possible after diagnosis to the end of their lives, however long that may be. The highest value is put on respect and choice. Support is also given to families and close friends, both during the illness and in bereavement.

Brooklands Museum

Brooklands Museum

With our office on their doorstep, Karen’s passion for British Motorsport and Brooklands Museum being one of our key clients, supporting these guys was a relatively straightforward decision! Limelight undertake much of the museum’s design work and photography and Karen is often spotted there on a Friday with a client or fellow motorsport fan encouraging them to become Trust Members or owning their own piece of banking! Karen of course is a proud ‘custodian’ of a piece of the historic Brooklands Banking right next to James May, Tiif Needel and Jeremy Clarkson.... www.bankingonbrooklands.com.

Karen also recently put forward Mike Bannister for an annual lecture for Rotary International which is expected to raise up to £3000 for Brooklands in March 2011.
